From the first day in class an interest in my classes gave me hope that things could get better. The Child Determined to Gain His Independence
"Early in the year we observed a two-year old baby boy who could not walk or stand on his own. He was not doing anything a normal child his age should be doing because his limbs were weak. As a department we decided on a course of action that could work, and it did. It included daily massages, therapy with hand and leg movements, helping him to jump and walk with the use of a walker, and playing with a ball. Through strong teamwork, the child began walking and standing on his own. He became a much happier child once he was more independent and was able to explore on his own." -The Staff

I Wasn't Sure I Could Handle It
"I don't have much schooling and didn't think I could handle the Employment Center's Program. I worked hard, and even learned some computer skills, and got into the Maintenance Training Program.
