A government-funded base but a real need for private funding:
The NYC Department of Homeless Services funds approximately 87% of SJPFC's annual budget of $4.7 million each year. Government funds provide our base of support - but they do not cover new services such as our after school program.

Without private corporate, foundation, individual and faith-based funders, we could not offer the array of holistic services we do. We would have to eliminate programs and focus only on providing the basic temporary housing that most Tier II shelters offer. It is only through private funding that we are able to offer the range of services families need.
